Terms of Service

Last updated: April 20, 2026

These terms govern your use of EduEthics.ai. By accessing the platform, you agree to these terms. If you're accessing through an institutional deployment, your institution's agreement with us may supplement or supersede these terms where applicable.

Who can use the platform

EduEthics.ai is intended for adults in higher education contexts — students enrolled at participating institutions, faculty and staff at those institutions, and authorized administrators. You must be at least 18 years old or have explicit consent from your institution if you are a minor accessing through a dual-enrollment program.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify admin@edupolicy.ai immediately. You may not share your account with another person, create multiple accounts to circumvent assessment limits, or use automated tools to interact with the platform.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: attempt to reverse engineer the platform or extract proprietary content; use the AI teaching assistant to generate content outside the scope of the course; attempt to bypass authentication, rate limiting, or other security controls; upload malicious content; harass or abuse other users or our staff; or use the platform in a way that violates your institution's academic integrity policies.

Intellectual property

All course content, software, graphics, and documentation on EduEthics.ai are owned by ScholarBar Education LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your institutional license grants you permission to use the content for educational purposes within the scope of that license. It does not grant you permission to redistribute, modify, or derive commercial works from the content.

Student submissions (assessment responses, AI Lab conversations) remain the intellectual property of the student who created them. We may use aggregated, anonymized analytics derived from submissions to improve the product.

AI teaching assistant disclaimer

The AI teaching assistant embedded in each module is powered by large language models that can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. The assistant is a pedagogical tool designed to model responsible AI use. It is not a substitute for qualified academic instruction, medical advice, legal advice, or any other professional advice. Do not rely on the assistant for decisions with significant real-world consequences.

Availability

We target 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance runs nightly at 04:00 UTC and typically completes in under two minutes. Major maintenance is announced in advance to institutional administrators.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms, for abuse of the platform or its users, or at the request of your institution. You may terminate your account at any time by emailing admin@edupolicy.ai. Upon termination, your progress and certificates remain retrievable through your institution's records.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCHOLARBAR EDUCATION LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR ACCESS TO THE PLATFORM IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Pinellas County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to institutional administrators via email and posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
